Summer Camps

2013 Summer Camps are here!

This summer I will be working with Community Arts: Re-imagining Education (CARE) and         Laguna Art Museum to offer eight summer camps throughout June, July and August.
Cultural Alliance Long Beach will host all six of CARE's summer camps. Jurassic Art Camp  will explore different mediums while learning about dinosaurs, held every Saturday in June. Petterns and Prints will be held every Saturday in July, campers will learn about the art of printmaking. In August CARE's campers will have the opportunity to travel to one or all four areas in Art Around the World Camp. There will be four unique camps offered Monday through Friday each week in August. One week we will explore South America, Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Laguna Art Museum will offer two sessions for Elements of Art Camp, session one will be held Sunday's in July from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and Session two will be held August 5-9  from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Students will explore the six elements of art: line, shape, form, space, color, and texture, while being inspired by the wonderful art on display in the museum. They will learn about each element by creating their own unique art works—with projects varying in complexity according to the student’s age—and by studying art in the museum’s exhibitions.

To learn more about all eight art camps please visit the Art Summer Camps page.
